Help #BeatPlasticPollution for World Environment Day

Free resources and guides are available to help businesses support the plastic-themed campaign for the UN’s World Environment Day 2018 on 5 June.

To recognise this year’s World Environment Day, organisations are being encouraged to join the #BeatPlasticPollution movement.

The environmental impact of plastic is now front and centre of public consciousness and there has been a strong reaction from government and the business community to cut out plastic packaging and single use plastics.

The World Environment Day website provides useful toolkits to help organisations take part.

Further resources are available from the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), which has partnered with a number of leading UK companies to provide toolkits, case studies, suggested pledges and infographics as part of a #PledgeLessPlastic campaign

Organisations in Greater Manchester can also support the ‘Plastic Free GM’ campaign, which was set up by mayor Andy Burnham in the aftermath of the city region’s Green Summit earlier this year.
